I just did a clean install of Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro 1,1. During the install I opted to install additional software - Rosetta. So now I try to run a PowerPC application - PageMager6.5 - and no Rosetta comes into action. I have never used it before, so I'm not even sure how it's supposed to work but I read around the internet that it's supposed to run automatically for PPC applications. I figured - maybe it didn't install. Inserted the OSX installation disk once more and installed optional software - Rosetta. It said the installation was successful. And - nothing. In order to have a seamless experience opening these files in a different Adobe page layout app, you need to make sure you have all of the available Fonts across both conputers. The problem is that, if I recall well (it was a while ago when I last dealt with these), only pagemaker 6.5 or 7 would open in CS. My dad has some ancient disks with pagemaker 5.5 files, so he's kept a copy of pakegmaker 6.5 on his old G5 in order to occasionally be able to open those files, save as 6.5.
